Current Projects / Pumped-Storage Power Station Vieux Emosson, Switzerland
|
The Aare-Tessin inc. for electricity (ATEL) under direction of the Colenco Power Engineering inc. intends to construct a pumped-storage power station between Lake of Emosson and Lake of Old Emosson (Lac du Vieux Emosson), canton Valais, Switzerland.
In late summer / autumn 2005, two inclined boreholes were drilled, one by the company Insond (Austria) and one by the consortium SIF Groutbor - ISR Injectobohr (Switzerland). Solexperts was contracted for the execution of extensive testing in both boreholes with depths of 641 m and 550 m respectively.
The following tests were executed:- Hydraulic tests using the Solexperts Heavy-Duty Double-Packer System
- Dilatometer tests (borehole diameter 96 mm and 122 mm)
- Borehole survey during the drilling process using Flexit MultiSmart
- Geophysical measurements (acustic scanner including caliper log and borehole direction)*
- Rock stress measurements **
carried out by * Terratec inc. (Germany), ** MeSy inc. (Germany) under direction of Solexperts |
