  Current Projects / Mine-collapses studies

In relation with the GISOS studies of mine and artificial voids collapses in France, Solexperts has recently realized the instrumentation of a salt mine near Nancy (F-54, Lorraine). This work has lead to better understand the behavior of the "Beaumont dolomite" when a washing technique is used to excavate Keuper halite.

Dolomie's deformations and consequences of the excavation onto the surface in the three components of the displacement vector (X, Y, Z) is monitored by means of : a Solexperts 5-rod modular-extensometer installed over the hole at 165m depth from the surface and two Solexperts fixed inclinometer chains around the hole. A pressure sensor in an observation borehole allows evolution monitoring in the hole. All sensors are connected to the GeoMonitor acquisition system.
