Current Projects / Reactive Barrier, Willisau

Following three years of research, testing and planning, the team with the wood treatment facility in Willisau, Switzerland the geological office Schenker, Korner & Partner the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering of the ETHZ and Solexperts installed a reactive barrier wall to remediate chromium contaminated groundwater in-situ.

A Solexperts' monitoring system was used in the monitoring wells and within the reactive wall, allowing a quantitative evaluation of the effectiveness of the remediation.
Multi-level groundwater monitoring systems with integrated sensors are installed in the up- and down-stream groundwater flow regions of the barrier wall Samples of the reactive material are installed to various depths
Monitoring and sampling system, pre-installed in pile re-enforcement, prior to installation in the pile borehole The measurement shafts are connected to the automatic data acquisition system
Vessels and packers of the reactive material sampling system
