For the past 15 years, Solexperts has specialized in planning and performing in-situ testing for determining the geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristics of potential host rock for nuclear waste repositories. The complexity and high quality standards of the testing have often required the development of new equipment and testing methods. Our pump-down packer system for performing hydraulic tests and groundwater sampling in directional drilled boreholes (up to 2500m deep), and our Dilatometer depth world record (1200m) are just two examples of innovative solutions for achieving difficult measurements that can be applied in all areas of underground construction and exploration.
Under the contract of TRANSCO and in collaboration with Prof. Dr. K. Kovári Solexperts designed and performed a system for load-testing "Yieldable TH Profile" support arches for a 12meter-diameter tunnel. (owner AlpTransit Gotthard AG, Los Sedrun)
