Joint extensometer

Joint extensometers are used for displacement measurements in structural joints and cracks. The change in distance perpendicular to the joint and the vertical and horizontal shear movements are determined by suitable arrangement and combination of joint extensometers. The sensors are linear potentiometers encapsulated in a stainless steel housing to be water pressure-tight with a measuring range of 50, 100 or 250 mm and a measuring accuracy of +/-0.02 mm. The measurement is carried out either manually with a portable measuring device or automatically with a data logger.
