Geotechnics

The excavation of the shafts and test tunnels of the ANDRA CMHM Rock Laboratory Bure is accompanied by an extensive geotechnical monitoring programme. Geotechnical measurements are also important in the scientific test programme, e.g. in experiments simulating the thermal load of the radioactive waste on the host rock. In general, geotechnical measurements are of great importance for the planning and later for the construction of the deep geological repository.

Geotechnical instrumentation in the Bure rock laboratory

Since the start of investigations at the ANDRA CMHM rock laboratory Bure in 2003, Solexperts has the privilege of being involved in a great many experiments with geotechnical instrumentation. Over the last 20 years, we could acquire a vast expertise in the geotechnical behaviour of the Callovo-Oxfordian. The current commissioning of Solexperts France with the two framework contracts for the instrumentation of the boreholes and the experimental galleries is another great appreciation by ANDRA of the quality of our products and, above all, of the commitment of our staff.
